On Tuesday at 1:20 a.m. the NWS San Diego CA issued a high wind warning valid from 4 p.m. until Wednesday 2 p.m.

San Diego County — which is in the midst of one of the driest periods on record — will be lashed by unusually cold and expansive Santa Ana winds early Wednesday that could spark wildfires, snap trees and knock out power,

Dry conditions, gusty winds, and low relative humidity are all hitting San Diego County at the same time leading to critical fire concerns for the region.

On Monday at 1:39 p.m. a high wind warning was issued by the NWS San Diego CA valid from Tuesday 4 p.m. until Wednesday 6 p.m.

Tuesday and Wednesday will be relatively cool with highs near to slightly below normal for most areas, and as much as 5 to 10 degrees below normal in the mountains.

The potentially hazardous conditions are expected Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday in Los Angeles and Ventura counties, according to the NWS.
