Poor conditions on secondary roads in some portions of the D.C. region and worries about refreezing has prompted another round of school delays and closings for Friday — with many students having missed an entire week of classes.

: As of 10:45 a.m., 50 districts have now closed. Only seven districts stayed with a two-hour delay. EARLIER: Some schools made announcements about Thursday morning delays as early as Wednesday evening due to the weather.

"All Austin ISD schools and offices will operate on normal schedules Thursday, Jan. 9, but due to rain and cold temperatures, all afterschool outdoor athletic activities will be canceled and any other outdoor activities will move indoors," Austin ISD wrote on Facebook.

Some schools have reported two-hour delays this morning. No schools have closed thus far. We will continue to update the list as information is received. Information on closings comes directly from school officials, school websites and news reports.

Franklin County Schools has announced that schools will be closed on Thursday. It will be NTI day No. 2 for students. After school programs will be open.
