Ever since news broke that Jake Borelli and Dr. Levi Schmitt were leaving Grey’s Anatomy after almost eight seasons, fans were left with endless questions as to how Schmitt would be written out and whether he could get back together with his long lost love.

Grey’s Anatomy isn’t exactly an edgy drama, but Levi feels like a character from a Disney Lifetime movie, if Disney allowed gay characters to kiss onscreen. I knew this week would mark his last episode because I’d seen an interview with Borelli lamenting his exit beforehand.
