KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - A Winter Storm Warning was issued for East Tennessee for Friday into Saturday. In preparation, Knoxville Waste Connection announced it would not be running routes on Friday.

Winter weather is coming to the South this weekend, and Knoxville is expected to get hit with up to 6 inches of snow. State, county and city crews are preparing as much as possible, even before the snow begins to fall.
