A woman is dead after what authorities are calling a “freak accident” in the parking lot of a Longhorn Steakhouse.

A woman near Nashville, Tenn. was dining at her local Longhorn Steakhouse for lunch, but little did she know, this would be her last meal.

Now, her friends and family are grieving after Pendergrass, 61, died from injuries she suffered in a “freak car accident” outside a Longhorn Steakhouse in Tennessee, the Murfreesboro Police Department said Dec. 30. The Warrenton, Virginia, woman died Dec. 28, nearly a week after police said she was hit and pinned between two vehicles.

Police report that the woman who was injured in the parking lot of a Longhorn Steakhouse on Dec. 23 later died on Dec. 28 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She’s been identified by police as 61-year-old Cathy Pendergrass, of Warrenton, Virginia.

Police said an “out-of-control" SUV "struck a parked vehicle" and pinned a woman who was "standing outside between the two vehicles"
