Multiple events in and across Los Angeles and Hollywood have been canceled or postponed amid the ongoing Los Angeles wildfires.

AFI Awards luncheon scheduled for Friday at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills has been postponed. According to a spokesperson, “Given the tragedies that prevail in Los Angeles, the spirit of community we strive for at AFI AWARDS will be unachievable on Friday – and so we will be postponing the event.

As multiple deadly, wind-whipped wildfires continued to burn out of control in the Los Angeles area on Wednesday, awards season took a respectful pause as safety concerns took precedence over Hollywood production and prominent events.
