Mar 6, 2024 · Been fishing 3 Daiwa Tatula MQ LT Spinning Reels (3000D-CXH) this spring. Mounted them on the new St. Croix Avid Series Spinning Rods 7 ft Medium. Mostly for throwing Jerkbaits but it's a set up that is extremely versatile. Reels are light, small for their 3000 size, powerful, silky smooth, cast great and manages the light braid I prefer perfectly.

Compared to my St Croix and Dobyns, I think the line/lure ratings on the Airds are a bit higher. a Dobyns 704C is listed as a 'Heavy', but it's stats are the same as the Aird-X Medium Heavy.
